Potpourri bags: Summer Flowers

Three little bags to work in counted cross stitch, each with a posy of summer flowers: red poppies, daisies, irises and yellow blooms on a white ground. The 18 count Aida gives small, crisp stitches, and the outlines are finished in back stitch.

Once the stitching is done, the bags need to be sewn up and filled: you will also need a ribbon or cord for the tie and the potpourri, lavender or scented filling, which are not part of the kit. They make a welcome gift to hang in the wardrobe or tuck into a drawer, and each piece is small enough to stitch quickly or take along as travel work.
