Runner - Flower fluff

A ready-made runner, hemmed and with the design printed straight onto the fabric: you simply stitch along the printed lines, with no counting involved. The dandelion heads are built up with just a few stitches — satin, long, stem and back stitch — so the result stays light and almost drawn with the needle.

The printed design is water-soluble and disappears with the first wash, so it needs to be covered carefully by the embroidery. Everything you need comes in the kit, needle included; you only need to add a hoop or frame to keep the fabric taut and a small pair of scissors. Once finished, the runner can dress a table, a sideboard or a console, and makes a lovely gift for anyone fond of hand-embroidered linen.
