Runner - Lavender and field flowers

A ready-made table runner to embroider: the design is printed straight onto the white cotton, so there is no counting involved — you simply stitch over the printed colours. The motif runs along both ends with field flowers, lavender and a few butterflies, while the inwoven border and hem are already finished, so once the stitching is done the runner is ready to use on a table or a sideboard.

The printed design washes out, leaving the fabric clean under the stitches after the first wash. Apart from what is in the kit you only need small scissors and, if you like, a frame or hoop to keep the fabric taut. Alongside cross stitch the design uses long stitch and stem stitch, both explained in the instructions.
