Runner - Spring Flowers

A ready-made table runner, already hemmed and finished with an inwoven border, with a spray of spring flowers running along one corner and leaving the rest of the cloth plain. The design is printed straight onto the fabric, so there is no counting: you follow the printed lines, with the chart to hand for the details.

Alongside cross stitch you will use stem stitch and back stitch for stems and outlines, which makes it a good choice once you have a few simple projects behind you. The printed lines wash out, so wash the runner once the stitching is done. A hoop and small embroidery scissors are handy extras.
