A yellow-beaked toucan perched on a branch among flowers and leaves: the larger shapes come ready cut in felt and are stitched onto the printed fabric, while the flowers, stems and small details are worked with a few simple stitches and finished with pearls and sequins.
The design is printed on the fabric, so there is no counting to do: you just follow the lines, which makes this a relaxed project for a first piece of embroidery, teenagers included. The wooden flexihoop is part of the kit and doubles as a frame, so the finished piece is ready to hang; apart from that, a small pair of scissors is all you need.
