Before stitching	Washing the fabric first is advisable, as the linen content can shrink on the first wash; lukewarm water, never above 35 °C apart from white and natural shades. Pieces that will only be framed can be stitched as they are.
Washing after stitching	Never above 30 °C, with a mild soap for delicates; do not rub, so the threads do not bleed, and rinse in plenty of cold water.
Drying and ironing	Remove excess water by rolling the fabric in a clean towel and pressing, without wringing; dry flat, in the shade, away from heat sources. Iron while still slightly damp at a medium setting, always from the back, with a folded soft towel under the embroidery.

Description

Floba extra fine is an evenweave fabric with the look and handle of linen: the viscose makes it soft and fluid, while the linen content gives the slightly irregular surface typical of the fibre. It suits counted thread embroiderers working over two threads, for table linen, runners, table centres, cushions, small bags and framed pieces.

Cross stitch over two threads comes out small and neat: use one strand of stranded cotton for a light effect, two for fuller coverage, with a size 26 tapestry needle. The fabric is soft, so a frame or hoop helps keep an even tension; wash it before stitching if the finished piece will be laundered, and leave a generous margin for hems and finishing.

This is my first Floba and I like it a lot. I am making an embroidery which will be turned into a pillow coushine and this fabric is perfect for it. I would say that you need to have a pretty good vision and some experience to work with it, but it`s soft, has a nice natural color, will be wearing very well and lets you make beautiful things. One hundred percent would recommend this fabric for everybody who is going to crossstich something for the house: pillowcases, tablecloths, fabric boxes...
