Royal Canvas 40pts/10cm. 100% cotone.
Cut of 50 × 100 cm; multiples of the basic cut can be chosen from the drop-down menu below the price.
Please note: natural fabrics such as linen and cotton are dyed in batches and come in different counts (with more or fewer threads per 1 cm in the case of linen and evenweaves, and more or fewer squares per 10 cm in the case of Aida). Different production batches and different counts may show color variations, even when the fabric is under the same color name. In the textile industry, this is considered completely normal, especially for so-called “vintage” or antiqued fabrics. Therefore, if your project requires a specific shade, we invite you to contact us before placing your order, also because the online image is purely indicative and may appear very different from reality, depending on the display which it is viewed on.

Description

Royal Canvas is a mono canvas: one cotton thread each way and a firm sizing that keeps the mesh square and the holes open, so stitches are easy to count and to place. It is made for needlepoint, where the stitching covers the whole surface – cushions, chair seats, bags, framed pieces, boxes and small accessories.

Work it with tapestry wool, pearl cotton or several strands of stranded cotton; the thread should fill each mesh without the canvas showing through, so stitch a small trial first. A size 20 or 22 tapestry needle and a scroll frame help keep the tension even. Bind the edges with masking tape and leave at least 5 cm of margin around the design for blocking and making up.
