A whole Halloween scene built inside a shoe: the lit windows of the tower, a witch crossing the full moon, a pumpkin and a little ghost beside the heel. The design is worked in counted cross stitch, with backstitch for the outlines and touches of metallic thread that catch the light on candles and cobwebs.
The threads come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so you can start straight from the chart; the Aida is white and unprinted, so it helps to mark the centre with a tacking thread. You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The frame is not included: the finished piece is tall and narrow and looks good in a simple frame to hang up at Halloween.
