Two sheep stand in the snow with their backs to us, studying the jumpers in the wool shop window as if they recognised something familiar. The design comes from an original painting by Lucy Pittaway, and its naive, wintry mood makes it a nice piece to hang up at Christmas time.
It is worked in cross stitch on Aida, with a few back stitch outlines and a single French knot, so the stitching is straightforward, although the fully covered background takes a while. The threads come ready sorted on an organiser, so there is no hunting for colours. A frame is not included: the finished piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
