A high-heeled shoe turned into a small garden: sunflowers, trailing ivy and a bee settling on the toe, from original artwork by Sally King for the Shoe Art collection. The design is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, with back stitch adding the outlines and the finer details such as the antennae and the veins of the wings.
The stranded cottons come ready sorted on an organiser, so you can pick up the work without hunting for shades. A frame is not included: once finished, wash and press the piece from the back before mounting it. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors make the stitching easier.
