Description

A little mouse climbing a bramble stem, taken from Hannah Dale's watercolour for Wrendale Designs. The speckled background is printed straight onto the Aida, so there is no background stitching to do and the finished piece keeps the look of the original painting. It is worked mainly in full cross stitch, with some back stitch outlines and a single French knot for the eye, so it suits anyone who can already follow a chart.

The threads come ready sorted on a card organiser, which saves hunting for shade numbers. A frame is not included: the square design fits a 26 × 26 cm frame or a cut mount. You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors while you stitch.
