Cunning

A fox looking straight at you, its orange coat built up from many shades with pale tufts in the ears. The blue background is stitched solid, so the piece takes some patience but gives a painterly result. Outlines and facial details are worked in back stitch, which sharpens the eyes and the nose.

The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so you can start without matching numbers first. A frame is not included: you will need one, along with a hoop and a small pair of embroidery scissors. The square format also works well as a cushion front or a hanging panel.
