Cushion - Fatal Anemone

A large stylised anemone stands against a deep blue ground, surrounded by green moths, yellow flowers and Victorian-style leaf scrolls. The design is worked almost entirely in half cross stitch with the tapestry wools, while the finer outlines are added in back stitch with stranded cotton. The canvas is printed in full colour, so you follow the painted design with the diagram as a guide.

It is a substantial piece that asks for patience rather than experience, since half cross stitch takes minutes to learn. To make it up as a cushion you will need backing fabric and a pad, neither of which is included; the fabric border and piping shown in the photo are not part of the kit.
