Description

An English country scene seen through the panes of a window, with the farmhouse, the kitchen garden and a meadow of daisies filling the lower half. The threads come already sorted by colour and the chart is counted: the picture is worked in cross stitch and finished with back stitch, which outlines the window frame and the smaller details.

It is a fairly large design with many shades of green and blue, so a little experience of following a chart helps. A hoop or frame and good light make the stitching easier. The frame shown is not included: once finished, the piece is best mounted and framed to size.
