Eucalyptus

A robin with an orange breast, settled on a sprig of blue-green eucalyptus: a Hannah Dale design from the Wrendale collection, stitched on white Aida whose background is already speckle printed, so the snowy effect comes without stitching the sky.

The work is counted from the chart: full crosses for the bird and foliage, a little back stitch for the fine details and a single French knot for the eye. The threads come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so you can start straight away. The hoop shown in the photo is not included: the design is sized to be mounted in a 7 inch round hoop, though it can just as easily be framed.
