Description

A stag looking straight at you while five robins settle on his antlers: a warm winter scene taken from Hannah Dale's watercolours for Wrendale Designs. The background of the fabric is already printed with a soft speckle, so only the figures need stitching and the work grows quickly.

Alongside the cross stitch there is backstitch for the outlines and a few French knots, so some stitching experience helps. A frame is not included: plan for one, together with a hoop and a sharp pair of embroidery scissors. Once mounted, the finished piece makes a picture to hang at Christmas or to keep up all year round.
