Gentle One

A Highland cow and her calf nose to nose, worked in shades of brown and russet that give the shaggy coat its depth. The design is stitched in counted cross stitch on Aida, with back stitch for the finer details; the background is left unstitched, as the Aida itself is printed with the speckled effect typical of Wrendale Designs illustrations.

The threads come pre-sorted on an organiser, so you can start straight away without hunting for shade numbers. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors are useful additions. A picture frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
