Gorjuss: Blizzard

One of Santoro London's Gorjuss girls standing in the snow with her penguin. The pale blue background with its snowflakes is already printed on the fabric, so only the figure and the details are stitched, following the chart square by square. The cottons come ready sorted by colour, which helps a lot with a design that has this many shades.

Alongside the cross stitch there is some back stitch, a single French knot and soft wool threads that add texture to the bobbles and trims. A frame is not included: a hoop and a sharp pair of embroidery scissors are useful too. The finished piece makes a pretty winter picture once framed.
