Hannah Dale's hare, shown in profile with its fur caught by the wind next to a spray of rosehips, comes from the watercolour animal portraits the artist is known for. The Aida has a speckled background printed onto it, so the loose, spattered feel of the original painting carries on beyond the stitched area.
It is worked in full cross stitch with some backstitch for the whiskers and outlines, so a little experience with a colour chart helps; the threads arrive already sorted on the organiser. You will also want a hoop or frame and small scissors. A picture frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
