Honeysuckle And Tulip

The design comes from a William Morris floral pattern: pink honeysuckle, a yellow tulip at the centre and flowing foliage on a deep red ground, in true Arts and Crafts style. It is worked in tent stitch over a canvas that is already printed in colour, so there is no counting; the wool gives dense, hard-wearing cover, ideal for a cushion that will actually be used.

Backing fabric, cushion pad and finishing materials are not included: in the photo the piece is already made up with green velvet piping and backing. A canvas frame makes the stitching easier to handle, and the finished work can also be framed or mounted on a chair seat.
