A little sampler for anyone who loves to sew: the mice are busy with the sewing machine, the pincushion and the spools, and the lettering in the middle ties the whole scene together. It is worked in counted cross stitch on the Aida, with back stitch outlining the details and French knots for small touches such as the heads of the pins.
The stranded cottons come ready sorted by colour on a card organiser, so the right shade is always easy to find. You will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors, and the frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed or made into a panel for the sewing room.
