Two mice climbing the flowering stems of a wild rose, from Hannah Dale's watercolours for the Wrendale collection. The Aida has a speckled background printed onto it, echoing the flecks of paint in the original artwork, so the piece looks lively even though the background is left unstitched.
The design is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, with backstitch outlines and two French knots to finish. The threads come ready sorted by colour on a card organiser, so you can start straight away. The frame is not included: alongside the kit you only need a hoop and a small pair of embroidery scissors.
