Description

A little cove with a red and white striped lighthouse, a sailing boat out at sea, a gull overhead and a band of poppies, daisies and cornflowers across the foreground. The main shapes are cut and applied in felt, while stems, leaves and details are worked by hand in a range of stitches, each one explained step by step in the instructions.

The embroidery hoop is included, so it frames the finished piece and it can be hung straight away. A small pair of scissors is the only extra you need. With no counting involved and clear stitch diagrams, it is a good way into creative stitching, and it makes a cheerful coastal piece for a hallway or a bathroom wall.
