A scene straight out of a picture book: the bespectacled badger reads aloud while an audience of rabbits, mice and a hedgehog listens closely. The design comes from original artwork by Anita Jeram and is worked on 14 count Aida, with holes large enough to count comfortably in the evening.
Alongside cross stitch you will use back stitch for the outlines and French knots for small details: two straightforward stitches, both covered in the instructions, that give the picture depth. The frame is not included, nor are a hoop and scissors, which help keep the fabric taut as you stitch. Its modest size makes the finished piece easy to frame for a child's room.
