A little mouse in a red Santa hat holds a sprig of holly, with gold lettering above and below: a Christmas card to stitch and then post or hand over yourself. The Aida comes with a speckled background already printed on it, so the snowy feel is there even in the unstitched areas.
The design is worked mainly in full cross stitch, with a handful of fractional stitches, some back stitch outlining and five French knots; the metallic thread and the woolly Lana add texture to the lettering and the fur. The triple fold card and envelope are included: once the stitching is done, the fabric is held in the card window with the Velcro supplied, so no sewing is needed. A pair of embroidery scissors and, if you like, a small hoop will make the work easier.
