Description

A birth keepsake by Hannah Dale for Wrendale: safari babies gather among pastel balloons, leaving room at the top left for the new arrival's details. The alphabet and number line supplied with the chart let you stitch the name, birth weight and date, so the piece is personal from the very first stitch.

The stranded cottons come ready sorted on a card organiser, which helps keep the soft animal shades apart. Alongside the cross stitch there is backstitch for the outlines and a handful of French knots. A frame is not included: choose one once the stitching is done, or mount the work on a padded board for the nursery.
