Description

A birth sampler showing a sleeping newborn, to personalise with the baby's name, weight and date: the lettering is worked in back stitch using the alphabet and numbers given in the chart. The skin tones are built up from a small number of carefully graded shades, and the large-square chart is easy to follow even with little experience.

Everything needed for stitching is included, threads as well; the frame shown in the photo is not part of the kit. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors make the work more comfortable. Once finished, the piece can be framed and given as a classic present for a birth or a christening.
