A boy in dungarees blows soap bubbles in the middle of a field of sunflowers: the design is worked in sepia tones, with the flowers and the bubbles standing out in full colour. It belongs to Vervaco's Seppia Collection and is a fairly large piece, to be taken at a leisurely pace but without tricky technique.
Besides cross stitch you will use french knots and a few long stitches for the details, such as the bubbles and the outlines. A hoop or frame and a good pair of small scissors make the stitching easier. The frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed, ideally with a light mount that brings out the warm tones of the design.
