A portrait of a long-haired kitten lying down and looking straight at you: the blue eyes and the grey-brown shading of the coat are built from many close tones, so it helps to keep the chart in view and work one area at a time.
Everything you need to stitch is in the box. The fabric is not printed, so the design is counted from the chart, usually starting at the centre. Aida 16 has a fine weave and is normally stitched with one strand of stranded cotton in good light; a hoop or frame and a picture frame are not included. The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, which keeps the shades from getting mixed up. Once finished, the piece is made for framing.
