Frosty Evening

A winter bouquet of anemones and small roses among fir sprigs, berries and glass baubles, with a frosted cottage glimpsed behind: the light grey fabric is left unstitched in places and reads as snow and ice. The chart is in full colour with symbols, so you follow the grid and count the stitches, usually with two strands of stranded cotton.

The threads come ready sorted by colour on an organiser, which is a real help on a design with so many shades of purple, pink and green. You only need to add a hoop or frame and small scissors; the frame shown is not included. Once finished, the piece makes a picture to hang through the festive season.
