A cascade of clematis frames the window, with city towers rising in the distance. The shaded greens and petal tones sit against a soft, mostly empty background, so the white fabric itself becomes part of the picture. The design is worked by counting from a symbol chart; nothing is printed on the fabric.
On 16 count Aida you can stitch with one or two strands, depending on how much coverage you like; the threads come already sorted by colour on the organiser, which helps when the shades are many and close to each other. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, which are not included, as is the frame shown in the photo. The finished piece looks well framed with a pale mount.
