A seascape at sunset, with the warm light of the sky mirrored on the water and green scrub growing over the rocks. It suits stitchers with some experience of counted cross stitch, as the many shades blend gradually and call for careful chart reading.
The fabric is plain, with no printed design: you count from the symbolic chart, usually starting at the centre. Fabric, threads and needle are all included, while a hoop or frame, small scissors and the final frame are not. The square format looks good framed with a pale mount, which sets off the band of white fabric left around the stitching.
