Chickadees & blossoms

Two chickadees settle on a branch in bloom, among clusters of pink-red flowers and large green leaves, against a softly shaded blue and green background: a nature scene worked in counted cross stitch following the chart.

18 count Aida has a close weave, so the squares are small and the design comes out finely detailed: good light helps, and a magnifier if you use one, while a hoop or frame keeps the tension even. The range of colours and the shaded background call for a little experience in reading a chart. A frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed or mounted on board.
