Three little bags to stitch with Christmas gnomes: the embroidery is worked straight onto the ready-made Aida bags, so there is no sewing up to do. The motifs are small and simple, so they are finished in a few evenings and make a good way to try counted cross stitch without committing to a large project.
Originally meant to hold dried herbs or flowers, they also work as gift bags, jewellery pouches or small hanging decorations for the tree. Potpourri is not included. A small frame or hoop, bought separately, makes the work easier, along with good light: on 18 count Aida the stitches are fine and close together.
