Praying

A quiet religious subject: two hands folded in prayer holding a rosary, worked in a range of shades from white to deep brown that gives the look of an old sepia photograph. The tonal shading is what creates the volume of the hands, so it helps to follow the chart carefully and mark off the areas as you complete them.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit, threads included, already sorted on the organizer so the right shade is easy to find. A frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed, perhaps with a pale mount that picks up the ecru background. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors make the work more comfortable.
