A Christmas table runner worked in cross stitch: a fawn with a red bow meeting a little bunny, framed by sprigs of holly, fir trees and golden stars. The fabric comes already hemmed, so once the stitching is done a gentle wash and a press on the wrong side are all it takes before laying it on the table or a sideboard.
Everything you need is in the kit: fabric, threads, needle and chart. Only cross stitch is used, worked over the open weave of 11 count Aida that stays easy to see even in dim light, and the large-square chart is simple to follow, so it suits stitchers with little experience. A hoop or frame makes the work more comfortable to hold.
