Bookmark - Animals (2)

Two bookmarks to stitch in cross stitch, one with safari animals and one with farm animals, each finished with a plain coloured border. They are small, quick projects that suit stitchers with little experience: you count the stitches on the Aida following the large-square chart, and a few back stitches outline the faces.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit; you only need to add a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. Once finished, fray the threads along the long edges to create the fringe shown in the photo. They make a simple gift for book lovers and are a favourite with children.
