A spring table runner worked in cross stitch: the rabbits meet among daffodils and crocuses, with two chicks in the foreground, and the motif is repeated at the other end. The fabric comes ready hemmed, so once the stitching is done a gentle wash and a press on the wrong side are all it needs before it goes on the table.
Aida at 11 stitches per inch has clearly visible blocks and is usually stitched with three strands of stranded cotton, so it suits stitchers who are still fairly new to cross stitch; the large-square chart is easy to follow. An embroidery frame, sold separately, makes the work more comfortable. It also looks good on a sideboard over the Easter season.
