Squirrel in pine tree

A red squirrel pausing on a conifer branch among snow-covered needles and pine cones, a winter scene that works well as a Christmas picture. It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, with a few long stitches for details such as the whiskers and the hairs of the tail.

The kit holds everything you need to stitch, threads included; a frame is not supplied, nor are a hoop and scissors. The chart is printed with large squares, so it is easy to follow even with limited experience of counted work. Once finished, the piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
