Alpine Village

An alpine village on the lakeshore, with a church steeple rising among the colourful houses, moored boats and cloud-wrapped mountains behind. The picture has many colour transitions, especially in the reflections on the water and in the rocky slopes. With 36 colours and a generous stitching area it is a demanding project, better suited to stitchers who have already worked in counted cross stitch.

The kit holds everything needed to stitch the design, chart and instructions included; the frame is not supplied. A hoop or a stand and good lighting make the work more comfortable, and since 16-count Aida has a fine weave a magnifier can help. Once finished, the piece is ready to be framed as a picture.
