A townscape at dusk, with snow along the canal banks, a stone bridge and warm lights reflected in the water: the blues of the winter sky play against the yellows of the lit windows, and the many shades give the scene real depth. With this number of colours and this level of detail it is a demanding project, better suited to stitchers who already have a few pieces behind them.
It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart; a hoop or frame and a sharp pair of small scissors make the stitching easier. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the piece can be taken to a framer or mounted on a rigid board.
