Description

Butterflies resting on wild flowers in a tall, narrow format, worked in counted cross stitch on ice blue Aida that gives the design a soft background. The palette is wide and full of shading, so it helps to work steadily and mark off the finished areas on the chart as you go.

The kit holds everything needed to stitch: fabric, threads, needle, chart and instructions. You only need to add a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The elongated shape suits a slim framed picture for a narrow wall, or a panel mounted on bell pull hardware.

One precision is missing from the description: the fabric is ice blue, roughly the color DMC 747. The fabric is cut straight grain. The diagram is both in color and with symbols. It is provided twice. The first only includes fill stitches (cross and a half), the second includes the addition of back stitches. The needle is thin and short, as I like them. The kit is neat.
