Summer Sampler

A sampler celebrating summer, worked in counted cross stitch following the chart supplied. The 16-count Aida has a fine weave and the design uses many shades, so it calls for careful counting and good light: a project for stitchers who have already completed a piece or two.

Everything you need to stitch is in the box, threads included. You will also want a hoop or frame, small sharp scissors and, once the stitching is done, a frame or the finishing of your choice. It helps to overcast the edges of the fabric before you start and to mark the centre with a line of tacking, so you begin in the right place.
