Parrot Tulip

A parrot tulip with its fringed petals, to stitch in counted cross stitch on white Aida following the chart supplied. The 38 DMC colours build up the shading of the petals and leaves, so the piece calls for some care in counting and frequent thread changes: it suits stitchers who have already completed a cross stitch project or two.

The kit provides all the stitching materials; a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors are useful extras, plus a picture frame for the finished work. With its square format and floral subject it makes a small framed picture, though the fabric could equally become a cushion front or a decorative panel.
