Autumn Sampler

A sampler devoted to autumn, worked in counted cross stitch from the chart supplied. The kit comes with Zweigart Aida fabric, DMC stranded cotton, a needle and instructions, so you can start straight away: 16-count Aida is a fairly fine weave and there are many shades to keep track of, which is why the maker suggests it for stitchers with some practice.

A hoop or frame and good lighting make the work easier, along with a pair of embroidery scissors. A picture frame is not part of the kit: the finished sampler can be framed, or made up into a cushion or a linen bag.
