Through a cottage window you can see hens in the grass, washing drying on the line, the beach and the village houses looking out to sea, with a blue jug of yellow spring flowers on the sill. The design comes from original artwork by Lizzie Spikes of Driftwood Designs and belongs to her series of windows, one for each month of the year.
It is worked in cross stitch on the fabric supplied, with back stitch outlines and a few French knots for detail; the threads come already sorted by colour, so you can start straight away. The fine weave rewards good light and a hoop. Hoop and frame are not included; the finished piece looks lovely framed on a wall.
