Lucy Pittaway is a young English artist, living and working in Yorkshire. She was awarded the UK’s most popular published artist in 2022. Thanks to her naive and imaginative, fun and colorful style, her artwork translates brilliantly into cross stitch.
Kit contains chart and instructions, needle, 14 count Aida fabric, pre-sorted stranded cotton threads on a loaded thread organiser.
This kit is based on original artwork by Lucy Pittaway and was first released by Bothy Threads as part of their Autumn Collection on the 7th October 2025.

Description

The northern lights blazing above a snowy wood, with two sheep watching the starry sky: a painting by Lucy Pittaway turned into counted cross stitch. The long sweeps of blue and green are built up with frequent colour changes, so this one suits stitchers who already have a few projects behind them and enjoy shaded work.

The threads come ready sorted by colour, so you can start straight away; a frame is not included and is best chosen once the stitching is done. You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. Fractional stitches and back stitch sharpen the trees and the sheep.
