A hanging feeder taken over by a flock of blue tits: one arrives with its wings spread, the others perch on the seed tube and along the rim of the tray. The design comes from a watercolour by Hannah Dale for Wrendale Designs and keeps the soft outlines of her illustrations.
Alongside cross stitch you will work back stitch for branches and feet, French knots and couching, all explained in the instructions, so it suits someone with a few projects behind them. The 16 count fabric is fairly fine, so good light and a hoop or frame help. A picture frame is not included: the tall format works well framed on a wall.
