A hare sits in profile gazing at the full moon in a wood of midnight-blue firs, framed by an arch of leaves and red berries; two robins and a meadow of winter seedheads complete the scene.
The design is worked in counted cross stitch on Aida that is already printed in colour, which makes it easier to follow the chart and keep your place. Alongside full crosses you will use a few fractional stitches, back stitch, French knots and lazy daisies, all explained in the instructions, while the metallic threads catch the light. A hoop or frame is not included: once finished, the piece looks well framed, including as a seasonal decoration.
