A corner of the English countryside in full autumn: sheep in the foreground, trees heavy with orange leaves, a stream running down the green hills and a steam train crossing the viaduct behind. It is the cross stitch version of a painting by Lucy Pittaway, with the bright colours and naive style typical of her work.
The threads come ready sorted on an organiser, so you can start straight away. Besides cross stitch, the design uses back stitch for the outlines and French knots for small details, so a little experience helps. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors; the picture frame is not included, but the square format is easy to mount.
